Famous Vietnamese food you love at Qwang

Cốm or definitely called green rice is my favorite Vietnamese dish at Qwang. Flat, chewy green rice in Vietnamese cuisine. It is not green colored, but immature rice grains roasted over very low heat and pounded flat with a mortar and pestle. Vietnamese food you love at Qwang is a seasonal dish reminiscent of autumn. You can eat it as is or with chopped coconut.

The taste is slightly sweet and has a nutty flavor. It is a seasonal dessert famous throughout Vietnam, especially in the Pink River Delta. Historically made in Cam Vuong village in Hanoi. A common pastry, bánh cốm (green rice cake) is a cốm stuffed with mung beans. Cốm is regularly offered to worship ancestors as part of Mid-Autumn Festival contests.

Green rice can also be used in a sweet soup, chè cốm. Cốm can be further flattened for various Khmer dishes called cốm dẹp. Flat rice is a type of rice dish made from uncooked, roasted, or pre-cooked rice grains that have been pounded into flat flakes. Used as a filling or topping. They have a crunchy, crunchy, crunchy, or soft texture, depending on how they are used, and have a mild nutty flavor.

Also known as rice flakes, mashed rice, mashed rice, and pre-rice. Flat rice is a staple food in South Asia and is commonly called by various names such as poha, powa, avalacki, chibuda or avar. It is mainly popular in India, Nepal and Bangladesh. Poha is made by threshing rice grains and parboiling or soaking them in boiling water for 45 minutes. It is then dried, roasted and flattened with a roller. They usually come in thin, medium and thick varieties. The thinner ones are best for cooking and desserts, and the thicker ones are perfect for deep-frying. Poha can be eaten as a snack or cooked into a variety of sweet, savory and spicy dishes. The flattened rice is called ang bok in Cambodia. It is made by taking miles of freshly harvested rice (with the husk) toasted in a wok and then pounding the heated rice flat with a large wooden mortar and pestle. After that, the husk is removed. Ambok plays a very important role in the Cambodian water race (bon om touk). get more info
